A Day In The life Of Your Child At APTB
Imagine your daughter starting her day at APTB walking around a beautiful garden feeling excited, wanting to explore the many different magical setups like the outdoor theatre stage, the chicken coop and the woodworking shed. She sees the cat and plays with it. Another kid joins her and they giggle watching the silly cat trying to catch leaves. They both introduce themselves and continue their journey together playing chase and hide and seek. 3 other children accompany them and they laugh and roll around for an hour even though they are all from different countries and don’t all speak the same language.
When the group of kids walk past the theatre area they jump on the stage and pretend to be actors in a family drama. One of them who’s brought his favourite book along explains that they could enact the story. Everyone loves the idea and the boy who owns the book tells the story so that everyone knows their part, after each choosing a different character from the book. They spend a long time being deeply lost in their project until their stomachs rumble and they part ways to get some food.
Your daughter and her new friend go to find you in the coworking space where you’ve been working all morning. She hugs you tightly, introduces her friend and says that they’re hungry. You take a break from work and go into the community kitchen to cook together. The girls prepare some scrambled eggs and salad while you fry something in the pan. You decide to sit outside in the garden to eat your lunch while taking in the stunning nature that surrounds you. The girls tell you all about what they did this morning and laugh when remembering those funny moments they shared.
They decide to check out the library where they find puzzles, books and games they explore in deep concentration. When one of the mentors walks by saying that there’ll be a class in the science room they agree that that’s what they’d like to try next. The two girls meet 6 other children who are wanting to experiment and learn and so they do with great dedication and fun!
Afterwards your daughter runs past the coworking space waving at you through the window and your heart skips a beat when you see how happy she is skipping barefoot towards the hut called A Place To Be Creative where she will be busy measuring, cutting and sewing pieces of material to make all sorts of creations that she came up with all afternoon. When you’re done with work you pick her up and she shows you what she’s created and says ‘This one I made for you, mommy!’
