Bitcoin Atlantis conference 2024
This past weekend, Madeira played host to Bitcoin Atlantis, the conference that drew in lots of businesses, enthusiasts, investors, speakers and curious minds from across the globe. It was an unprecedented success, setting a new standard by being the first conference to cater specifically to families.
A standout feature was the Kids Block, a dedicated space where children could immerse themselves in a variety of engaging activities. From coloring an enormous canvas provided by Bitko to participating in sports activities and panels tailored just for them, the Kids Block ensured that children had a memorable and enriching experience alongside their families. This innovative approach not only made the conference more inclusive but also highlighted the importance of fostering a sense of community and learning for all ages within the cryptocurrency space.
Our A Place To Be booth at Bitcoin Atlantis was a bustling hub throughout the event, drawing significant interest from attendees curious about unschooling and the project itself. With its inviting homely decor infused with tropical elements, the booth stood out amidst the bustling conference floor. We had a large screen displaying captivating land drone shots made by AJ, one of our unschoolers, hand painted volcanic rocks and T-shirts that were very popular.
Through our GeyserFund, we collected 1 102 663 SATS towards the project. Bitcoiners could buy us books, microscopes or chickens to support the initiative. From the moment the conference opened until the last minute, the booth was abuzz with conversations and inquiries, reflecting the growing interest in alternative education methods and the desire for free and personalized learning experience. It served as a beacon for those considering unschooling, providing a glimpse into the possibilities of a learning environment where children are empowered to follow their passions and drive their own education journey.
Our booth left a lasting impression on conference attendees, sparking meaningful discussions and opening minds to new possibilities in education. For the record, we made grown men cry simply by painting the picture of what APTB provides for families.
In conclusion, Bitcoin Atlantis in Madeira marked a significant milestone, not only for its insights into Bitcoin and unschooling but also for its groundbreaking inclusivity. By pioneering a family-friendly environment, the conference set a new standard for inclusiveness in the industry. It served as a powerful reminder that diversity and openness are essential ingredients for progress and innovation. In the spirit of Bitcoin and unschooling, let's continue to push boundaries and pave the way for a future where freedom, creativity, and human potential know no limits.
