Madeira Troll Hunting

For a few weeks not Rob has been making the levada walks with Lima and Bo even more exciting because he came up with the idea that trolls live under the water streams. The girls love it and sometimes bring their magic wands to be able to defend themselves against one if they happen to be too noisy and wake one.

I haven’t been on a troll hunt with them yet but next time we explore a levada I will definitely join in the fun and let my daughters explain to me everything they know about trolls so far. They’ve given some trolls names and are leaving food there sometimes.

We used to go out and feed the cats on the levadas but now it’s trolls we’re helping to keep their belly full so that they don’t get hungry and eat us!
